Ironic yes, surprising ? No. Too many of the younger generation today have no idea of the concept of 'Need to Know' that most of us had drummed into us and see the FOI act, which basically says everything can be released, unless there are good reasons not to, as carte blanche for them to blab their mouth off on their Faceache, Instafart & Twatter feeds without thinking of the potential consequences or the fact that the FOI rules & guidance do actually specify the correct vetting mechanisms and processes that should be used before anything is released and don't give free rein to everyone.
