Noting further to say that hasn’t already been said in the above posts, Ricky you are an absolute inspiration to mankind, such a shame to be taken at such a young age, as they say the good ones go first...

Condolences to you family and friends

There never seems to be the right words to say, condolences to family and friends.

A peaceful end; how many of us cannot envy that?

He made the rest of us look like wimps.

RIP, 'Specialised' . Sympathy to family & friends.

Note to Mods.
I suggest that his Thread be left available to all for a long time (sticky?).
It shows the very model of guts.

I joined up with Ricky on that fateful, sunny day back in June 1991. We all had some fantastically brilliant times at Swinderby and Halton on our Mechs courses and some fine times after. He will be sorely missed by all who were fortunate enough to have crossed his many paths, and to those who were unfortunate not to have met him, you missed a treat!!!

My condolences go out to his wife and children.

It is a rare thing that one man's passing can have such a huge impact on so many people (including me) that have never actually met him. That his impact has been so widespread, inspiring and humbling at the same time is, I hope, something that his family and friends can take pride in and see as a bright star admidst the the darkness they are currently going through. May they take comfort from the feelings expressed on here and the knowledge that he has touched the lives of so many.

RIP, Per Ardua.
