    It also helps if nobody really wants the job you're already in. That said, I do know people who've been moved within their last 12 months, but this was purely to an 'any trade' job / surplus JPAN for resettlement purposes (because they will try to move you closer to home if you ask them).

    If there was a firefight with the TB to get people out, then I'd support a medal. But they literally sat back and let everyone leave - so no, I don't think a medal is warranted for people doing their jobs on this occasion.

    Depends what you're trying to achieve - were you given a flat 'no' or just put on hold for 6 months? Refusing entry entirely just for an ear infection seems a little excessive (but I'm not a med bod so what do I know)
