Doing a pub crawl round Liverpool, found a pub called the ship and mitre. Got a Belgium beer festival on. Loads of real ales and a fridge full of german beers. Asked the girl have you got any warsteiner. Yes was the reply and served in a wobbly glass. £3.80 a bottle but hey it's pay day today lol. Happy days. Getman beet festival at the end of October. The owner has 40 different bottles of german lager and will be getting another 40 in as well as 5 draught lagers on top of what he's got now.

The pub is packed it shows that there's a Market out for there for people who want summat different

My local pub,Grace Neills, has Wobby on tap at £3.60 a pint.

My local shop has Wobbly in crates for about 16 euro. That's 20 half litre bottles with a 3 euro refund for the empties.

Different situation, of course.

But it does go to show how much you are being ripped off.

Next time I drive back to the UK, I'll be happy to drop a crate of Wobbly off if you want.

So that's 70p a bottle and I'm paying £3.80 a bottle. How many crates can I get in a clapped out ford escort lol.

Back in the early nineties at a secret place known as "Area 52", we had Wobbly on tap for around a pound a pint which wasn't bad.

Still, that was a long time ago and as a JT I was lucky to clear 900 quid a month.

I cannot recall drinking 900 pints a month though, probably because I was too p1ssed to remember:pDT_Xtremez_35::raf::pDT_Xtremez_30:

Lidl's sell Grafenwalder Pils,75p a tin.Bot as nice as Wobbly but verryyy close! Must stock up tommorow!

Can I destroy you a little bit more by saying that Grafenwalder is 25 cents per tin here!!

There are also biers here that you can buy 20 bottles for around 7 quid.

I happen to be on the wobbly right now, I was saving it for a house warming party but I have been saving it for so long that it is about to go out of date.

When in October mate? Being a scouser I may just have to visit my mam and dad and accidentally drop in :)

Wobbly is ok

Wobbly is ok

but you cannot beat a good Bayern Kellarbier.

Currently Hacker Pschorr is my favourite-----even the Radler version is good.

Pfande (Deposit) is based upon returned bottle (not crate)

We have Three GetrankeMarkts in my village......Ace. The Germans really do have it spot on with the Beer/Food/Festivals.

We sometimes drive back to the Scottish Borders and stop over with some of my family who live in the Rainford/Ormskirk area, so I have no problems dropping off a crate or so (space in boot/time permitting) but not sure at the moment when we will drive back next.
