Also a free pint or two to any old duffers who not only still have their old uniform but can still fit into it and wear it to the meet. Gem will have to dig out his puttys and battle dress (the old hairy marys I think):pDT_Xtremez_14:

Well I still got my putties.....uniform fitting is another story !! But for a pint or two will try :)

I always said even the midlands would be too far for a goat gathering for me to travcel to, but if at Bruntingthorpe ...have always said I will get there at some point so to kill two birds with one stone would be great......now just gotta hope I am at home !!

Crack on....................:pDT_Xtremez_09:

I'm a long time lurker, not much of a contributor, but I'd be well up for an e-goat Bruntingthorpe hanger bash, would gladly chuck in a tenner to pitch my tent for the night too. A marvellous idea.

Fecking lurker all right! I will gladly pay a tenner to see Hotspur get his hand in his pocket!!

Bruntinthorpe under canvas sounds like a good idea to me.

Why doesn't one of you declare themselves 'teamleader' and contact 320psi with your concept idea...He may be able to put some meat on the bones so to speak...at the very least he'll know when they are doing stuff in the summer...

I think we need a consensus of opinion about where we wish to meet first.
Maybe one of the mods could put a poll on here and lets have a vote on it?

If you want to tie it in with one of the LPG's events, you could look here http://www.lightnings.org.uk/

Then you could have a poll on what event you would like to attend. Their QRA shed is £10,000 from completion........

Poll added.

Oh and for those that don't know... Bruntingthorpe is in Liecestershire.

How Goat-friendly are the people at Bruntingthorpe? Would 'GoatFest' be out of the question? Lightning runs at twilight followed by a hangar bash with bands (we must have some Goater bands who'd belt out a tune or two), crash in tents on the airfield. BBQ breakfast in the AM, a look around the air museum to sober up, break camp, FOD plod and foxtrot oscar... just a thought. A chance to make a couple of quid for the charidee there too.

Bruntingthorpe would get my vote. I'm all up for an old fashioned "hide" set up with tents etc plus BBQ and **** up.

As for GoatFest. Its a brilliant idea but like Vim said earlier on people always say they will attend then only a handful turn up.

The last do at Goatacre next door to Lyneham was a great laugh but out of the 70 definates that stated that they would attend only 23 turned up. This means you can't rely on numbers that promise to attend.

Brunty is a nice idea BUT..................................there is the British weather factor. We are currently in whiteout conditions again, just when we thought the bl00dy snow had gone.
