Salmond will always put his welfare before everyone elses. Indeed I would not be surprised if he went to Cameron yesterday and said "don't care if you close both bases, Faslane and every barrack in Scotland,just don't do it before the election or you will find Labour in Holyrood in 2 months".

Cameron reinforced earlier this weeek that the options include all RAF bases not just those in Scotland. Staish briefed on Monday decison after May 5th and hopefully before Jun and Parilament Summer recess.

Like your thoughts Jedi, but decision has now been made and as expected Leuchars to become an army base and Lossiemouth will stay open, will be confirmed shortly. This will allow all the RAF haters in Elgin and Lossie to stop their hyocritical waffle and get back to what they do best, giving the RAF some serious **** !!

I still reckon Lossie would be a better bet for the brown jobs just because they can fit twice as many in if they take on Kinloss as well. They can share some functions like admin and they can choose a runway to keep open for travelling down south for exercises and the like.
