I'm pretty sure the Rank was "Flight Sergeant Major" from the RFC not WOII. We screwed up when the word major was dropped and any chance of an acknowledged equivalence with WOII was lost along the way (and it saved on pensions)Sandbag said:What goes round .... the RAF had the WO2 rank from 1918 to 1939.
