As much as we berate the Islam's for desecration of something they don't revere or respect, and as much as the Cross and the Star of David are seen as symbols of hate within the Islamic world, be it a religion of tolerance or not. As long as the religion has hot heads and scholars using the religion as a political tool, inciting violence at the slightest opportunity. Then these outrageous (To our eyes) acts will continue.
Consider for a moment, not the Arab or Afghan, who is reacting to circumstance and clerical direction. But more so the American idiot that didn't have the intelligence, the foresight or the wit to consider that burning a pile of religious books, might just kick off the Islamic world into a frenzy.
