I know there is was another pay cut in real terms but its the other recommendations that I am interested in.The pay rise has been paused for this year due to COVID see link below for the announcement in parliament back in March
Armed Forces pay rise “paused” for 2021/22
Pay was increased by 2.0 per cent in 2020/21, but pay rises will be "paused" for 2021/22.commonslibrary.parliament.uk
Haven't read the report but are you saying that the current generation don't like PAYD & want to go back to where we were 30 - 35 years ago when lots of us said that PAYD was a bad idea??Love the comment that people would like to pay a daily food charge.
All the mission command and empowerment means that a lot of us can speak our minds now without fear of repercussions (Kinda). Army is still "Fill this out and say it is amazing"Page 22 - Para 2.65 - . Reported self-morale was highest in the Army and lowest in the RAF.
Page 23 - Para 2.72 Overall, 37% of personnel reported taking all of their annual leave allowance within the last leave year, broadly similar to recent years. This varied across the Services: Royal Navy 36%, Royal Marines 46%, Army 38%, RAF 34%.
And to think that the RAF used to - USED TO - be considered the best of the three services in how they treated and looked after personnel!!!
As for that Senior Leadership understand the needs of their career, that's it. There is a reason why they are senior leaders.Senior leadership 2.73 27% of Service personnel agreed that senior leaders understood and represented their interests; 39% disagreed. Figures were generally more favourable amongst Officers than Other Ranks. Across the single Services the least favourable result was for the RAF where 20% agreed that senior leaders understood and represented respondents’ interests ---- OUCH!!!!
YuuuuupHaven't read the report but are you saying that the current generation don't like PAYD & want to go back to where we were 30 - 35 years ago when lots of us said that PAYD was a bad idea??
