So it was supposed to be back on track in April, then it was the summer, then September. Are the government just waiting on a bad news day to sneak it out again?

There will be minion tasked shortly with thumbing through the big book of government excuses.

Sadly its an unavoidable Covid related delay as important members of the team were required to isolate for long periods
It's been difficult to co-ordinate the report with most staff WFH
IT system glitches at a sub contractor mean the data gathered has yet to be fully compiled into a meaningful report
as St Greta said recently report coming soon blah blah blah

The pay rise has been paused for this year due to COVID see link below for the announcement in parliament back in March

I know there is was another pay cut in real terms but its the other recommendations that I am interested in.

Love the comment that people would like to pay a daily food charge.

A quick scant through that report reinforces my belief that I definitely left at the right time.

Persistent and long-standing skills shortages remain a major concern given the competitive labour market and the challenge of recruiting people with specific skills.

But we are going to increase the accommodation and food charges. Unless you are an RLC Private no pay rise for you.

Page 22 - Para 2.65 - . Reported self-morale was highest in the Army and lowest in the RAF.

Page 23 - Para 2.72 Overall, 37% of personnel reported taking all of their annual leave allowance within the last leave year, broadly similar to recent years. This varied across the Services: Royal Navy 36%, Royal Marines 46%, Army 38%, RAF 34%.

And to think that the RAF used to - USED TO - be considered the best of the three services in how they treated and looked after personnel!!!

Senior leadership 2.73 27% of Service personnel agreed that senior leaders understood and represented their interests; 39% disagreed. Figures were generally more favourable amongst Officers than Other Ranks. Across the single Services the least favourable result was for the RAF where 20% agreed that senior leaders understood and represented respondents’ interests ---- OUCH!!!!

All the mission command and empowerment means that a lot of us can speak our minds now without fear of repercussions (Kinda). Army is still "Fill this out and say it is amazing"

As for that Senior Leadership understand the needs of their career, that's it. There is a reason why they are senior leaders.

But the system is screwd anyway. The AFPRB is an independent body free from senior career progression and they just told everyone, Apart from RLC drivers (Lol and **** you 2MT,) we're all getting no extra pay.

Haven't read the report but are you saying that the current generation don't like PAYD & want to go back to where we were 30 - 35 years ago when lots of us said that PAYD was a bad idea??
Yuuuuup
As we said many, many years ago - "be careful what you wish for..."

Diversity on the officer corps doesn’t seem to be progressive
