The first thing said to us by one of our first year instructors.
"Always remember gentle men, a woman is a tube."

We all looked at each other thinking WTF !
he continued:

"With lipstick at one end"

Cheers Ginge, what a way to break the ice with a bunch of 16/17 year olds :pDT_Xtremez_30:

CCS " At your target in front............carry on....................................STOP!"
Drill " EEEEEEEEEYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYEEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS.......................................Right!

A few from my Locking days.

"Senior man ...halt that course"... dredded words while walking past RAF Reg section you knew you were in trouble for something.

for the TG3 guys (there seems to be many) who remembers the classroom chant?
1 over 2 pie root LC is the resonant frequency

How about

PIBSIA Parallel - inductive below, Series - inductive above (resonant frequency if you really want to know). Really useful when the last set has disappeared off the shelf and an unplanned double shift is looming.

We had a guy (ex Tossford instructor) at a certain large Wiltshire base who used to get into all that sh*te when he was fault finding. Net result he turned out less than a quarter of the gear than the SAC who knew what to change for what fault did. But then he would give a detailed blow by blow account of electron flow, voltage drop, etc, etc. Tw@t.

I had to make up my own to feep everything in my head for the learn and dump process that is the first 6 months or so of Aeop training:

Blue Whales Go Yellow And Red Bast*rds...

That helped me remember the airfield colour state order...

One not of my making but which I've always pondered how much I would be abled to get out in the heat of the moment is the full distress message...

Position
And
Time
Heading
Air Speed
Altitude
Type (of a/c)
Nature (of emergency)
Intentions
Endurance (how long you reckon you have left aluft)

Depending on what is occurring at the time I 've mulled this over and reckon they might just get a 'ssssshhhhhhiiiiitttttt!'

A couple of years back Tossford was going to introduce a training version of LITS.... like LITS but not LITS. I managed to get the execs to agree that it couldn't be called LITS... (too confusing) and come up with C-LITS.... they didn't want the dash and it was developed for 18 months as CLITS until a TG3 FS spotted it

....I'd have gotten away with it too!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! pesky plastic techies!!
