This is a poor copy of this picture...still, if you look centre bottom you can see the ballsy chap standing in the middle of the taxiway...I reckon his ears might have been ringing after that...

I reckon its real I was at St Athan when he was around - He was a noisy fucl<er no matter what he was flying - in fact he was just generally a noisy fucl<er - I reckon if it had been a Buccaneer he'd have been even lower.:raf:The Fact Hunter said:Not necessarily, in the 'good old days' of wet film it would depend on what ASA he was using - 200 ASA blurred, 1000 ASA crisp

There was a guy on 92 (we shall call him BB) who really suffered at the hands of others waving electric razors and malicious drunken grins. Thankfully, I managed 4 years with both my eyebrows, tache and hair intact.
Anyway good times.
Did you know Kate S in the bay? Ive been trying to get in touch with her.

Back in 87 we were on one of the many 'locked in the site' exercises, no ex flying through the night so the non op ready crews on the punchy pullets were getting loads of night flying in. Strapped in a fairly pi$hed off JP who was on his 3rd trip of the night, saw him off and watched him take off before heading back to the HPS. Daft sod kept the jet in reheat for longer than norm, then stood the jet on its ar$e and went vertical right over Balmullo. Didn't fly the next night....must have had a proper bollocking, it was about 3 in the morning!
As you can see from the avatar I'm no fairy myself, but have fond memories of all the seat pan pulls you and the comms guys used to ask for. Also the ball-ache of the musical sparrow/skyflash swaps cos you could'nt get them to tune in.

lol.......yea i remember that .......i was on VAS at the time, sharing the line hutgemarriott said:I remember when 23 lost one in the North Sea the inventory holder was a fellow plumber. I believe it had on board 2 centrline tanks, a gun, 4 fletchers and at least half a dozen i/b pylons.
strangest job I had on the tombs was disarming the same aircraft 6 months after the crash. The navy had dredged up some bits from the botom of the oggin including the pylons. decidedly dodgy state those cartridges DT_Xtremez_42:
