UK industry officials raise eyebrows over Royal Air Force F-35, E-7 and A400M programs

A tranche of F-35s will be delayed, as will the E-7 Wedgetail, while the Atlas transport has overcome a "regrettable collection of discoveries."

Interesting read…

"a top Lockheed Martin executive, for instance, suggested the British government was purposefully delaying delivery of 47 F-35B aircraft, though it wasn’t immediately clear why."

Could be simply that we are quite skint after paying for all that Covid required and helping out Ukraine against Mad Vlad and his minions

Could it also be that the training pipeline is so narrow at the moment we’d be paying for jets without jockeys to fly them?

swapping production slots isnt a new thing - Torpedo and Triphoon were both handled the same way. Microchip shortages have delayed the production of all things…and guess how many are in a wedgie?
The A400 remains crap - no news there then….

There's more than several people on this forum who are involved with A400M.

Software and engines springs to mind.
