If he truly had "No idea as to the significance of the memorial ", I see a gold plated learning opportunity for the young man.....one that he, and any other intelectually myopic products of the comtemporary education system, might benefit from.

History is not taught as it is divisive. It would engender a sense of National Identity and pride in achievements made. We wouldn't want that would we.

It's still taught here mate along with respect for our veterans, then again, perhaps we haven't gone quite as far down the PC sinkhole as the UK
