There have been a good many things that I have learnt on the recruitment process. Surely the point of the forum is to share experiences, so others can learn?

Yes it is - TBJ expressed his opinion and at the end of the day it has absolutely no bearing on what you post here. We might have to call him Sir in the street but, along with anyone else you disagree with on E-Goat, you crack on until someone that runs the site says otherwise. I can certainly see both sides of the issue - TBJ's professional assessment as an OC AFCO does not necessarily correlate to how you feel at the recieving end of the recruiting process. Your AFCO OC may well be on the ball as suggested... doesn't mean the Cpl that's assigned to you is! Anyway: tl;dr yes e-goat is a rumour network, spread rumours and see what happens!
