She was on 5 Live this afternoon. MoD offerred her 80K the day before the trial - which she refused as she felt she could win more. She felt OK about the whole thing as "people join and go to war expecting to get shot, but I didn't join expecting to be victimised"

Back in 1982, I was sent with a mate up to Carddington, to pick up some maps. It was also the WRACs training depot. as we had to say overnight, we into the NAFFI, and was soon surrounded by WRACs. They were the straight ones, and wanted to send a message to the lesbians at the other end of the room!

I was very happy with the compo I was given from the Compo pot for a condition that has left me ill for the rest of my life, which will end my life sooner than most, means I need to take drugs daily and will need countless operations as things get worse. And of course being MD'd from HM's finest service.

I got the massive amount of £3000 which was decided through a board of officers at PMA.

The decision from PMA came 3 years after I was awarded a war pension at 30% disability because my illness was proved to be caused by my service.

Better than a kick in the teeth I think, because I can still walk and talk and work.


The lezzy bint should be keeping her gob shut and disappear into insignificance.

Hang on though, isn't she saying that she is disgusted that the MOD is giving her a higher payout for an E&D case than they do to the injured?

Surely that is a good thing.

If I were in her (sensible) shoes, I wouldn't be saying 'no, no, no, don't give me that much, give me less than those poor boys....' I would be doing just what she is doing now taking my wedge and then pointing out just how fceked up the whole process is.

The trouble with that Ex B is that it will set a precedent for ALL awards to be clawed back. Which means that those who really need the money will lose out.
She should not have been given so much in the first place. In fact she should have got nothing.
