Is this offensive to the Armed Forces?

These pictures were taken in on the landing in the staff area of a very well known DIY store, this is not the first time I have seen something like this at this chain, the last store had camo netting all over the place.
The pictures show WW2 era posters and pictures of this chain's competitors, along with a couple of steel helmets, tanks and "bullet holes" and giving the viewer the feeling that this chain is in a battle with the competition, which they are, but I can't help feeling that this approach is wrong.
Now I know what my reaction is and I feel that it is very disrespectful to those who serve and have served.
Thoughts?

It is offensive at first but to be honest it doesn't surprise me that this sort of "motivation" tactic is used in an attempt to ge up competition.

I suspect that this was dreamed up by some stupid tw*t who has no clue. But I can see a few old soldiers getting a bit warm under the collar about it.

I think you're taking things too personally and getting all wound up over nothing at all!

Go home, have a beer, lie down and unwind.

I don't think it's offensive really...It just looks like someone's desparate attempt to be seeing to being doing something to inspire his minimum wage, couldn't give a crap workforce into selling a few more nuts and bolts etc.

I mean would it inspire you?

No

No

Not offensive to the Armed forces, but it this was found in a wall in a terrace house in Bradford I'd be worried.

Waltism appears to be alive and well in the DIY industry.
It's jingoistic crap, I'd only be offended if I worked for B&Q.

Not offensive to me. Its mostly kit anyway. Does the Mr T Snickers advert offend you for inappropriate use of military hardware?

Now QCS on the Generation Game and other such shows - that does wind me up. Using professional soldiers in a light entertainment / comedy setting such as that peaves me off.....although I suspect I'll be in a minority on that one.

LOL its a bit like my going to the supermarket battle plan.
Anyone who blocks the aisle or hinders my way to the checkout is the enemy.
Its Blitz Kreig on Tesco via the Polish foods section in Boston branch they do some lovely grub if you take the risk and try something you can't pronounce.

Get over yourself!

Surely there's more important things to get upset about. Medical facilities for injured personnel etc? However if you wish to spend your time holding a placard outside your local DIY store..... crack on!

I hear that the new trolley-mounted .280 repeating rifle is quite effective. . . .
I wonder when the grade-thrower will be ready?

Service humour dictates that we have very thick skin and can give as good as we get. The day I get offended by something as niff naff as that will be the day I sit through an 'Equality & Diversity' brief without thinking..........WHAT A LOAD OF BOLL0X!!!

Man up for fcuks sake!!
