I can understand your dilemma. However, if we can get the scrotes going to the doc every week for their 'I've got a headache' pill - that'll only help matters. Antibiotics use has been going up for many years which has in turn, let many people die because their system had become used to antibiotics. The trick here is to only use medicine if you NEED it.

Penfold may care to comment?

Regards,

Ping

Ah yes I was forgetting to take into account the benefit scroungers that get their pills for free! Well it wont effect me, my doctor doesnt dish out anything unless you crawl into his office on your knees, looking a greenish colour whilst projectile vomiting!!

Sounds like a perfectly logical chap to me.

Listening to the news this morning they were saying that they want to cut down on the issue of Antibiotics because they are being dished out to people who have colds and the flu, which makes sense since these are cause by a virus and not bacteria which is what antibiotics are for.

Plus it reduces their effectivness when you get MRSA & C DIFF in the local hospital.

The saving money is just a bonus of not giving them out for the wrong reasons.

The problem lies with old people. I went into Hospital on Monday for some x-rays for my foot. The waiting room was full of old coughing and spluttering people. I kind of pointed this out to the nurse when being seen and she said The old ones go straight to A&E because its closer than their Doctors. Theres basically **** all wrong with them. They wake up with a runny nose and think their gonna die.

Ha ha that sounds about right and my nan is a number one culprit for that. She wakes up in the morning and if has even the smallest of aches gets out the old medical journo and decides what ailment she can have today then takes herself off tot he doc to let him know all about it.

I think she has a permenant time slot with her GP!!! Bless her!!:pDT_Xtremez_42:

If you have a cold go to the chemist there is plenty of pills and potions in these shops. If you have a decent pharmacist in the shop, quite often they can give good advice on what to take.

The problem is old folks and parents of young children fill up many of the doctors appointments slots with trivial problems (although not to them) forcing people into using A&E, who eventually send them away with see your doctor!

A bit of common sense and if need be a call to NHS direct will deal with most problems.

The reason they do this is to treat secondary infections not the Virus. (Wifes a doc see).

The problem is people are generally ponces these days.

I've been suffering from kidney stones (which if you look it up is considered the most painful experience a man can have) for the last 8yrs or so but I only found out what they were about 6 months ago when I was forced to go to the doctor by my friends who thought I was dying.

I have always had my 'attacks' as discreetly as possible and not created a fuss (as per my avatar)

I'm not saying everyone should be as belligerent as I am, but discomfort is a fact of life.

Someone should get hold of these malingerers and put them in some real agony until they learn to shut up and take it.

Peace out :pDT_Xtremez_28:

I've never thought of it like that before, but you're right, discomfort is a fact of life and I wish people would stop complaining about every ache and pain.

Now Now Lisa,

War Pensioners get free prescriptions and effectively a war pension is a benefit.

Hope you're not suggesting War Pensioners are scroungers?
