The death of WO WJ(Bill) FOXLEY on 5 Dec 10. In Mar 1944, WO WJ (Bill) FOXLEY was badly burnt in a bomber crash. He became a member of the Guinea Pig Club, having been operated on by the pioneering plastic surgeon, Sir Archibald McIndoe, at East Grinstead Hospital. He appeared (up-ranked for effect) in the 1969 film The Battle of Britain as the badly-burned flt lt who is introduced to Suzan York.
