45 years ago today, i took the Queen's shilling and she's been getting her pound of flesh back from me ever since.... To be fair, it's not been a bad life but 45 years since I joined up!!!!!

I wonder what happened to the other fresh-faced youngsters in the 11 Flight photo at Swinderby?

In May I will have been outside the wire 10 years. Now that has fecking flown by.

Happy to report that whilst it hasn't always been bed of roses and the foreign travel has dropped off a cliff edge it was the best move I could have made at the time considering where I now live, working conditions and career opportunities etc.
