You been an RTS or Regiment training instructor? They haven't been outside in the real Air Force.
Not wishing to go down a rabbit hole with this, but instructor is not a trade it's a posting from your trade. Service Instructors get pinged for Dets like everybody else, and usually do 2 or 3 years in the job then get a posting back to the so called "real Air Force" to carry on with their careers doing the core trade job everyone else does, wherever in the world that may take you. Coffin dodging, oxygen thieving, job stealing, Civvy instructors do stay put until retirement or a visit from the grim reaper. It is a popular misconception that service instructors stay in place for ever. Historically it was possible to hunker down, stay quiet, upset no one and remain for very long periods but that changed quite some time back.
