RAFG, sometime between 66 and 69.
RAF Gatow (??) was closing down, and I was one of those chosen to go help with the shifting.
In SHQ was a conference room with a beautiful table, surrounded by chairs which featured the swastika on the dark blue back support.

Anyone know what happened to them, just for interest ?

I was at Gutersloh when it closed down in the early 90's and helped with these chairs, but I am sure they were red leather with stitched swastika and a table from the officers mess (story went that they were Hermann Goerings) and wrapped them up in bubble wrap to send to the museum in Stafford.

I was at Stafford in 2006 and they were there at 1 or maybe 2 site at Stafford. I was telling the lads with me the Gutersloh story.

Hope this helps.

That's strange considering RAF Gatow was still going until 1994
