Hi to IHateTCW, I've not seen another TG3 JT for years, I have heard that a few exist but thought that this must be multiple sitings of me. Have you not come off the latest board? Think I know who you are, might be wrong though. Hi to all others, where are you all? I'm currently in the Falklands but home unit is Coningsby (Typhoon).

I did hear of one sad ginger haired J/T that was about 180 on this years board.

I'm sure he was postede to Coningsby some years ago ... his new Flt Sgt at the time said ' dont worry you wont be a J/T for long '

Is it me or has this job become really ****e since the introduction of TG4.

Yes like a fool I took assim, hoping for promo!!!!! yes I am on the list waiting!!!!! (is it all peanuts gettin it)

Managed to avoid it for IT for 16 years, started beginning of year and currently on Herrick working with the BARMY! ARRRGGGHHHH!! (no not TCW, been there done that when it was MAARF) and it is the most borrrinngg thing I ever done FECKIN NERDS!

Determined when I get back to put in for a big massive radar type job.

I was on the last L Mech GC (MC92) course back in 77/78!!

We had the "choice" of chossing our trade -- TC/AF/AD, so opted for travel and sunny postings - TC!

Was that many changes I didnt know my arse from my elbow!
Started off as L Mech GR; then L Mech AF(R), fitters course followed so morphed into L Tech AD. This developed into El Eng Tech swiftly into Eng Tech El before the cluster known as TG4 was born. My time was up at this point so left thoroughly confused with what trade I was!!!
Stations were:
Locking (MR72) - 76-77
Lyneham - 77-79
Locking (FAD13) - 79-80
North Luff - 80-88
Saxa Vord - 88-89
North Luff again - 89-94
Ramstein - 94-97
Bouncy Castle (2SU) - 97-03
High Wycombe - 03-04
Lyneham - 04-06

Then El Mech assimulation at Locking
Then El Tech at Cosford
Had a mix of tc/af postings and managed to stay off tcw
Then promoted to civvie inFeb 05, and thankfully left before tg4 destroyed the trade.
Would do it all again though!

Joined 76 as LfitGR (airfield and air defence radar) trade named changed sometime during 77/78 to LTechAD and LTechAF. We had to choose which path we wanted. LFitGC became LTechTC. Stayed as LTechAD till I left in 1994
