And there`s your problem.
Instead of picking a team, the manager picks what he thinks are the best eleven players.
If it were me, i`d have a blend of Liverpool and Southampton players, (including Gerrard, after my criticism of his last WC performance), with fill-in`s from Everton and the like, where there is no English equivalent.
Rooney wouldn`t get in my starting eleven.
