I'm currently on det and my son did a poem for his school homework on Rememberance Sunday that he emailed me. I thought it was good ( not biased or anything) so told him I would put it on here to see what you all think. He's ten years old.
Two minutes silence every year
To the face brings a tear
The soldiers of war
Still live on
Deep in our hearts
Where there are no bombs
They are safe with us
You can't forget
That two minutes silence every year
When the soldiers had no fear
We still do we hope you respect to
The soldiers of war
Directed our country to victory
All is safe now
But then one mistake
All is gone
2 minutes silence every year.
Two minutes silence every year
To the face brings a tear
The soldiers of war
Still live on
Deep in our hearts
Where there are no bombs
They are safe with us
You can't forget
That two minutes silence every year
When the soldiers had no fear
We still do we hope you respect to
The soldiers of war
Directed our country to victory
All is safe now
But then one mistake
All is gone
2 minutes silence every year.
