PS, don't ask me to do it... it'll be stuck to the end of my fingers in no time, with finger prints on the canopy and bits missing from all over!DT_Xtremez_30:

Built a big Phantom once...Made mostly out of Double Bond...It was this big Honest!!! The Hawk was to the same scale.
Nice work there mate!DT_Xtremez_14:
I've a Revell 1/32 Tornado GR1 I'm converting into a Telic GR4 on the go at the moment.Just need to get the Flightpath update & detail set.
The Toom and the Hawk were 1/24 Scale and completely scratch built, the only bits not made by myself were the Roundles off a specialist decal sheet. I've got a few 1-32 scale kits including the Revell GR1 one, though I'm waiting for somebody to do a F3 conversion.
But do they fly?
A few of those above need a couple of small jet engines (2-5 lbs thrust) and a load of bombs.
The is a 1/32 conversion for the GR1 kit...I've asked on Britmodeller...

What you after Gem?..
My Canberra..
It would have taken more than a couple of micro turbojets to get that Phantom to fly...Thing must have weighted 30 Kg at least as it was almost soild Double Bond (well the wings, Fin Tailplane and drop tanks were).
Two 5lb thrust jets would indeed be a tad short of umph for a 30kg plane. Two 15lb thrust ones would do though. There are bigger RCs than 30kg flying around.
It is airflow over the wings that provides the lift.
