Password access attempt

Wobbly, all,

When i tried to access E-goat from work today, i was given the message that i had made the maximum attempts to access my account and that it was locked (I had tried only once to type in my password).

On arrival at home i had received 2 emails from e-goat telling me that someone had tried unsuccessfully to acccess my account 5 times and that it was locked.

This is quite concerning and could possibly mean a potential hack.

Has anyone else had this problem?

Appreciate it if we could do a quick integrity check of our servers or whatever it takes. I hope this is just a glitch and not an access attempt.

Were you accessing at work from IGS? (I take it you were) If so, did anyone have access to your PC or sight of your password? Also, did you fully log out when you were on it previously?

Throughout today many people reported issues with IGS access and the symptoms were exactly as you reported.

Seems that Big brother may be watching more than we know if IGS alerts are poppin up.

I noticed i could not access 'Ask.com' for a while earlier at work.

IGS mole perhaps.........be careful what ya look at fellas.

Funny you should mention that...I've spent just over 14k today clearing Mrs F's student debts...I am, for the moment, feeling very poor.

Still, the Goat goes untouched for £5000....

This is bound to happen every now and then by divs trying to get into your account which is why its very important to have a secure password.

Oops, this is a tadge worrying if we're all being watched when on our work PCs. I know we had a warning a few weeks ago to ensure that we weren't keeping "incorrect" vids, pics, funnies etc on our PCs and certainly IGS has blocked access to quite a few other sites in recent weeks as well eg e-bay.
