An enquiry to those in the know.
I have been in receipt of a medical pension since my discharge, which was attributable to service.
My question is,
If I die because of causes related to the medical conditions that I was discharged under, what happens to the pension? Will my family be entitled to any of it and what sort of sums (percentages are okay) could they possibly receive?
Also, compared to normal service discharge, the lump sum was nice but didn't really cover very much. The lump sum received at the time of discharge equated to 1k per year served, so just short of 12k.
Would my family be in for a lump sum payment after my death from the pension fund?
I am in receipt of a war pension and I am genned up on how that will work but not on the medical pension. (AFPS 75)
Any input gladly welcomed.
