Question for any of you medical types (maybe Penfold?)...

The civvy nurses that you see employed in med centres...are they generally agency staff, MoD civil servants, or civilians employed directly by the station?

Although some of the nurses you see may be agency staff employed to cover a shortfall for the most part they are employed by the Station.

Ok, where would stations tend to advertise their vacancies? Local press, RCN monthly magazine...?

The advertising process is a real pain; much as trying to locate doctors. Adverts are usually placed internally first and then put out as you thought in various publications. The pain comes in because due to the MoD refusing to pay out decent amounts of money, adverts are only placed for a short period of time. Are you thinking of changing careers and wearing a white dress?

Let me know which area and I'll check with a few med centre's to see if there are any vacancies coming up.
