If true, that’s staggering.

Suspect things will get worse more broadly in just over two years, when the first lot of the AFPS05/15 joiners start to reach their 20/40 EDP point. Many will leave immediately with probably 3-4 years of those who are ‘pension trapped’ at most.

There was a huge influx of personnel in the early 90s and most of those if not already gone are getting ready to leave.

All will be time served and aged out. I suspect there are not many now that know anyone in uniform these days and those that do are being actively discouraged from joining the shitshow that the modern armed forces seem to have become.

The constant bashing by the media doesn't help either.

Has anyone heard any more about this supposed FRI? Seems to have gone quiet at work about it for a couple of weeks now, surely if things are they desperate they’d want to get it out soonest.

On a slightly different note, when will the AFPRB recommendations for this year be announced?

They've released an IBN for an FRI for aircrew, surprise surprise, no doubt the engineering cohort will have some cursory spare change thrown on the ground - valued engineers with experience aren't seen as such, we're seen as just OR's or minions...

Went back to work last night after some leave, yet another SNEC just PVRd, they had better make it worthwhile....
