So as a Scotsman I have to say that years ago I hated watching England especially during the Smug-git era of Will Carling. They used to believe that sometimes all they had to was turn up much to their embarassment some of the time.
But I must admit that they have come on leaps and bounds and are most probably now the team to beat in the Northern Hemisphere. Sure they won the 2003 WC but they were never smug or arrogant (Martin Johnson has always been a gent when interviewed) and proved themselves. The 2007 team now going into the 2008 team look efficient and powerful. They conduct themselves professionally both on and off the pitch.
Have England grown up in this professional era?
OOff Topic Never a Brian Moore fan as a player but as a commentator and summariser on the BBC 6 nations he hits the nail on the head on everytime in a game.
