Interesting concept, one that maybe should be considered in the western world.

Alimony a subject I cant get my head around, you can marry someone who never works and you've provided for them but they decide to give you the heave ho then some judge can make you give them half your belongings and house to support them even when they shack up with someone new.

I believe it is called "Palimoney".
But I think one of the problems is that many (most?) working women do not get equal pay.
