Political Correctness is one of my pet hates. I am not a racist or a homophobe and I believe in everyone being entitled to their own opinion. But lets lighten up people and have the ability to have a laugh without fear of the PC brigade pouncing on us.

I wonder if anyone has looked to connect the risk-averse tree hugging Guardianista socialist left-wing bleeding heart pinko one-legged-black-lesbian-single-mother loving policies of our present lords and masters with the fact that kids are now going out to stab each other on a regular basis? Seems to be that if there are no risks in a person's development, then the offer of some form of adrenaline rush where and when it arises (coupled with the de-sensitisation due to uber-violent music/videos/games/films) means that you're going to find it a bit harder to measure the gradient of risk.

And if your kids can't burn off all their energy during the school day the old fashioned way (running around the playground when you're younger, running away from the teachers after you've been busted smoking when you're older) Then it's no wonder they're going nuts when they get back home still full of E-numbers.

My daughter is about to fully qualify as a teacher. She has been on placement with a bunch of year 5's (9 to 10). Due to the wishy washy regulations, kids who, in my day, were put together in special class to get the attention they required, are now put in mainstream classes. Now its always "ADHD", and before anyone with a child with this has a pop, let me assure you, I know it's real for some kids and is hard work for Mum and Dad. However before these parents go on about "their childs right to be treated the same as the rest", think about the teacher who has to control this kid, in a class of up 30 others and teach all of the kids! My daughter has been spat at, called a biatch and told to Ferk off, by a 9 year old who, quite frankly needs special teaching on a one top one basis IN A SPECIAL CLASS! This however would infringe his (and his parents) right to be treated the same as other children, THEY ARE NOT THE SAME, THEY HAVE ADHD, GET A FERKIN' GRIP AND TEACH THEM SEPOERATLEY!
