Couldn’t care less what people want to call them selves or ask people to identify themselves as, I spent 20 odd years using titles that go back to whenever and mean nothing to me.

I did note that a Female (I'm fairly sure from Birth otherwise it's getting real hard to tell....) Senior Civil Servent I used to work for used the phrase 'Preferred Pronouns: Her / She' in their email signature....

Surely not having that up in lights with every email you send out says exactly the same thing in that you prefer the more traditional pronouns? Does stating such still show solidarity with yet another group feeling marginalised and wanting attention or is it just paying lip service?
I've seen a handful like that; i think the theory is that if we all do it (i don't) then those who have (or feel) a need to make such statements about themselves can do so 'comfortably' and without appearing odd....

Personally, i take the view that if someone looks like a duck, walks like a duck & quacks like a duck then i'll treat them as a duck without ruffling through their feathers to check the anatomical evidence.
