The RAF Sea Kings from twenty two Squadron were due to stop running today but ITV has learned they'll continue to operate for another week before the service is handed over to a private company.

It's a slight reprieve but it's still a sad moment for the community.

I think it's all a load of bollocks, do they really think a civvy outfit is gonna put the lives of their employees on the line to save some schmuck who was stupid enough to climb a mountain in a snow storm or set out in a dinghy into a gale with three or four metre waves the way the RAF used to do?
