So Alec Baldwin has forgone his trial by Inquest for a trial by Telly...Brave man!

The scenes shown on UK news programmes clearly show some massive (and probably edited) holes in his televised story so far..."It's not me" he said "I'd never point a gun at anyone..." but evidently he DID pull or hold the trigger and he DID point a gun at someone else...

I'm going for guilty - how about you?

How can you trust a professional actor under interview. They are paid megabucks to provide emotional performances.

His remorse will be very believable, even if he intended to do it.

He definitely did it though, there's no question on that.

Where the live round came from and whom placed it in the gun is probably more pertinent. Shows very poor gun safety drills. If you are going to handle a gun then ensure you know the state of it, but I am preaching to the converted here I'd think.

Precisely; live rounds should NEVER have been anywhere near a weapon that was going to be used in a film shoot, especially where the weapon was going to be fired in the scene. Even if it was not practical for the actor about to use it to conduct a safety check immediately prior to use then the armourer & prop master should have proved it safe before it entered the scene.

We all know there were massive failures by several people involved, right up to the director & producer for failures to run safe processes.

Don’t think he’s done himself any favours with that interview, must have had the same advisors as the Duke of Yorke.

I think the problem in the US is that they don’t have an ‘alternative’ for guns - they either have a gun or they don’t have a gun. And they probaly think the UK’s version of a firearm on a film set (a cap-gun) is a bit poofy and doesn’t feel right.

They can lie about history in films but not about guns…
