He's gone to Join Bobby and the boys in Heavens All time English XI.

A great shame, 61 is quite young for a man to go these days !:pDT_Xtremez_21:

Youngest of the team and only the second to go.

Man of the match on "that" day, excellent footballer and a class gentleman.

A year to the day that "Mr Everton" died. I guess God asked Labby who he his first choice would be in the Heaven team.

See ya Bally.

Just noticed in my local rag, Ball lived about 6 miles away from me as the crow flys.

He was discovered by firefighters as he tried to put out a fire in his garden in the early hours.

I know, tragic circumstances. His son was interviewed on sky news, he is devastated as you can imagine... 61 is no age for a legend to die

not many like Allan and others of his era around anymore.

David Beckham has been asked to arrange Alan Ball's funeral. When asked about his suitability by the press, Victoria said "David's a dead ball specialist so it makes perfect sense"

I'll go straight to hell for that one
