I started my plumber life at NLS. I remember Kinloss being a close-knit station and one of the best to serve at. I'm sure the families will get all the support they need. Condolences to all.

Agree with Black Pudding. Lets not forget the other two members of the crewat the time, Mne Joseph David Windall and Lance Corporal Oliver Simon Dicketts from the Parachute Regiment.

A PRAYER FOR THE ROYAL AIR FORCE
Almighty God,
You have promised that they who wait on you shall renew their strength,
they shall rise up on wings as eagles;
they shall run and not be weary,
they shall walk and not faint.
We commend to your Fatherly protection all who serve in the Royal Air Force.
Encourage and inspire us in all our efforts,
so that we may be a safeguard to our Sovereign Lady, Queen Elizabeth,
and a sure defence to our nation.
Help us to fulfil our duties with honour, goodwill and integrity,
and grant that we may prove worthy successors to those
who by their valour and sacrifice did nobly save their day and generation.

In all honesty I dont know what to say,
Ive been through this with the herc crew which died and even though i didnt know anyone on the nimrod it still feels sh1t.
I would like to say thank you to the guys who posted the two prayers, i know they will be welcomed.

i had read the poem before, written and read by Athena Nicholas the10y/o daughter of Flight Lieutenant Gareth Nicholas i'm just sorry it's has taken me this long to find this forum to post it.
i don't cry but i shed a tear when i read this
My dad

i'm on 99 and was on shift when the 14 came 2 brize. i also had the honour of being able to arrange the lad's on the c-17. it's a day i wish never happened but also a day that i will never forget.
