Not something for us to commemorate. We have Armistice Day for that. But it was certainly an important day in history to be remembered as far as WWII is concerned and in essence probably saved the UK from Germany, and the campaigns in the Far East including Burma. Hitler, as part of the Tri-Partite pact declared war on the USA post this attack making it a lot easier for the president FDR Congress/Senate et al to declare war on Germany.

And the Japanese made the mistake of underestimating American resolve in the Pacific and it's manufacturing output capability for every theatre of war the Allies participated in.

Those pictures put me in mind of "Tora Tora Tora" as being more true than the usual Hollywood cr@p.
