    Talk Wrench, I did it with a local firm, your resettlement clerk will do all the paperwork, bit of a faff but it was nice to be home every night. Also to earn more bucks do the ADR course, driving around delivering gas bottles or LPG.

    A few days in MPA, waltzing around the various Forward Supply Sqn Stores with a voucher checking things and stuff. Another good one, that could last a week at least was checking the POL Cabinets on all the sections around the camp. Scoring all the T bars for quality, biscuits etc etc

    I’ve had it for years, you are paid a daily rate full stop, that includes any courses. Only stops if you go on a detachment or OOA, my only question is what happens when on resettlement / terminal leave. Worry about that after!

    Ridiculous But True

    On a royal visit to a now closed radar training school near Weston S Mare, I had to locate a pack of Regal King size, a lighter and an ashtray in every toilet that Princess Margaret might visit on her regal rounds. The question, where are the cigarettes? was never asked!
