If you are there on a TLP then the rooms are ok. Single man, but very flimsy in construction. The internet was through a cable, which you could rent from TLP billeting - the connection speed was sporadic, depending on how many were on it, but may well have improved since I was there.
Bars - plenty in the local town, which was a 30 min walk away. Lots of cafe-bars too. On camp, there is the MURF, which is akin to a male-only 1980s NAAFI bar. They may have moved from Belgium to Spain, but the soulessness of the MURF was definately packed up and brought along!
Madrid is well worth a visit, particularly if you like football. Even on non-matchdays, the Bernabau stadium tour is good value, and the art gallery allows the public in for free after about 5pm. Again, plenty of bars, cafe-bars and stuff to do if you are a culture vulture.
If you are after a lads weekend, then Alicante & Benidorm are only a couple of hours away!
