    Blood Groove ... Or "Fuller" is a groove that lightens and stiffens the blade, normally running down parallel to the blade back about three quarters of the way up the blade itself.
    Thasnks for your information, mate. I had a look at the KaBar website and many of the knives thereon are 'commemorative' ones, complete with fuller. However, I also looked at a site where the 'original' (?) KBD1 did not have a Fuller.
    Incidentally, the german firm to who took over Wilkinson Sword have a variety of blade profiles, including several with a fuller.
    I guess this is something which will roll on 'till Doomsday, but I'm still not sure the Pamphlet is 100% right in calling it a 'blood groove', army terminology or not!
