Hello DB, I'm looking at a job at the TSI, realising that the locals are not that motivated when it comes to learning, I just wondered what the work and accomodation conditions are like out there. It will be a big decision to accept a post(if offered) as I will be leaving my family behind.
Also, will BAE cover the cost of excess baggage/shipping of personal effects. I understand that broadband/satellite TV(?) is an extra cost, roughly how much.
Is there enough going on to keep occupied during off duty hours?
Do you know anything about how the tax system in the UK applies, as if the job starts in September for two years, effectively when the contract ends you would not have completed 2 full tax years out of the UK and so be liable for tax on the salary?
Finally is the place somewhere you would reccommend or advise extreme caution.
