    Turns out I'm colour blind damn it!

    Had my medical today and turns out I'm colour blind ... I struggled to see those numbers in that little book of dots big-time! Apart from that I passed everything else ... the thing is I've applied for the role of photographer (Reserves) and considering that I AM a photographer in civvy street...

    No doubt an easy question for you guys and girls? How do you actually say: Per ardua, ad astra. Believe it or not, the t'internet is not providing an answer? I ask as I have my selection interview tomorrow ... and can only guess at it as Purr Arr doo, add astra? Is that close? Any help...

    Any idea how long until the RAF Reserves respond to your initial application?

    Just asking as I applied on the 29th April 2013, it's now the 15th May and I've not heard a thing. I rang and they said they're busy at the moment so it is taking longer ... but can anyone tell me if this long a delay is normal or have I been unsuccessful and just waiting for nothing? Any help...

    I'm 37 and a professional photographer ... I'm physically fit and have the relevant qualifications for the role of RAF Photographer (Reserves) but after viewing the sites and noting how it appears to be young 20 year old people who are their target audience for recruitment I am worried I've left...

    Hey guys and girls.

    So ... I'm 37, a professional photographer and hoping to join the reserves ... question is ... at this age do I stand a chance? (I am physically fit - thankfully) but anyone else out there at my age or older tried and succeeded? :)
