So this means what? We can just rip up all the rules of genetics ?
My point, which I stand by is this:
You have to accept that there are people in this world who are severely homophobic.
Said people who, if misled for whatever reason, found they were in a relationship with a transgender person would react with a violent revulsion up to and including murder.
If that happens and the transgender person is killed as a result you MUST allow that as mitigation.
I accept that people can be "born in the wrong sex body", I also accept that they might feel the need to make the outside reflect the inside, however I can also accept there are people in this world that will not.
But that's virtually the same argument presented by some Americans from the deep south to maintain segregation during the 60s - and the South Africans for their apartheid policy.
There were similar views, albeit regarding a different ethnic group, in mid 20th century Germany too.
Repeated again in the former Yugoslav states... etc, etc...
However, in the modern 21st century Western World, we don't live in those times any longer! Those who cannot accept change must ultimately pay the price if they cannot control their prejudices. So, no, I don't believe you can allow that kind of neanerthal prejudice any 'mitigation' for their inability to progress.
Anyway, this is getting far too serious for me... let's get back to a bit of mindless sexism - in the best possible taste of course!
