I logged on to E-Goat this morning, and some little bar graphs have appeared next to my avatar.

I feel better for bleating about it now.

The rest of you saddos can contribute to the thread as it's in the playground.:pDT_Xtremez_25:

I have Firefox set up to block that sort of thing unless I click on someone's name, it means less scrolling. I hadn't even noticed.

Bar graph, schmar graph! I can't say I'm that bothered about them one way or the other but suspect there may be a flurry of power posts until the novelty wears off. I assume power posts will be dealt with as they always have been though, so the novelty will probably be short-lived.

It would be nice if someone would explain what this "Junior Member" business is all about.

Having a good look about I think its age related rather than stat related.

Or it could be how big your c@ck is, what camp you're from, your favourite colour, if you had chips for tea or not.

Any of the above really.

Guessing a heirarchy along the lines of:

Junior Member
Moderator
Super Moderator
Admin
Wobbly

Most forum sites have these so nobody should really get their panties in a twist about it all.

I just wish someone would change all the colours to make it all prettier! Too much blue for me.

I assumed it was something to do with one's wedding tackle, although how they know about me I have no idea.

Just out of curiosity, what's a power post?

Something like starting crappy threads about why people are on here on a Friday night!!:pDT_Xtremez_32:

Its a post so powerful that it simply floors any opposition.

Only the wittiest and most intelligent members can power post.

Fomz loves power posting.

Cheer him up by adding small, meaningless posts usually only a couple of words long and contributing nothing to a thread to every post you fancy.

It also makes your 'stats' rocket up making you look big and clever to all other forum users.

In online forums power-posting is the term used to describe a user who posts a large number of empty or useless messages in order to increase their number of posts. On some forums special privileges may be given to users who contribute a specific number of posts. When power posting users will post meaningless replies such as "LOL" or "I agree/disagree." These posts may increase the users post count but they do not contribute anything meaningful to the forum discussion itself.

And on here, they will get their posts deleted and if they are stupid enough to continue, will receive User Infractions. After three User infractions are given - you have earned yourself a little ban.

Simple.

I'm not that bothered about pretty, but the yellow names are a problem for me. I can't easily read the usernames so have to rely on the small bit of text saying "xxx is online now" or "xxx is offline".

Hahaha. That part said it was for chit chat, I'd assume that like other forums post count would be switched off in parts like that.

I assumed it was something like that. I've never come across that expression on any forum I've used previously, usually people like that get called post/forum whores.

Please advise:
Is 'Power Posting' just for LOL / here, here, etc., or does it also count for several jokes send in separate messages ?

And should one indicate agreement with a statement other than a short Here, Here. ?

my vote goes for TW as he is a plastic kraut. :pDT_Xtremez_14:

By the way, I have the same problem with the yellow names through firefox, they almost disappear. IE6 in work is fine though.
