Its 30-14 to blue so far, I am surprised the greens made it that far. Perhaps there are more green wannabees than I thought. I even know a rock that wears blues. He looks dam smart too.

Sommat to do with the boss lady being a stacker perhaps? Maybe she has stacker contacts that can get her more kit than everywhere else?

I think you'll find the Boss lady to be one of the few who wears blue on station!

I think the greens thing is to make the logistics types feel more war-like...well whatever!

I don't really care either way, I wear denims most of the time! :pDT_Xtremez_28:

Being incredibly lazy (I've made no secret of it) I tend to wear a growbag most all of the time as if I don't move very often, wear a bib at lunch and don't touch anything you can get quite a few weeks out of one before it's wash time...

When I worked at a secret NW London underground base I jumped at the chance of wearing CS95 for the same above reason and you can spill your yoghurt down the front whilst having your feet on the desk watching Cbeebies and get away with a quick wipe down with a damp cloth...

I choose blues last as I'm very clumsy...Once I put on my crisp, clean and boxed shirt food comes flying in from all directions quite randomly and I end up looking like a biscuit baby for the rest of the day...

Being a Techie stuck piloting a desk I have to wear blues (and I'm not even allowed to wear the dark shirts, which I prefer... not the new version though), but I'd rather be wearing coveralls at work and get to look scruffy again (ahh, those were the days :S )

I find greens more comfortable, but I hate kiddies walking past and saying "look mummy, a soldier!"

Overall, I'm in my blue suit but wish I could wear coveralls all day.

I love blues me, quickly followed by my dessies.

I think everyone - INCLUDING ALL AIRCREW - should wear it at all times, when not flying or spannering or something of that ilk Anyone who works in any sort of office should be made to wear a long sleved shirt, Tie (wth a windsor knot), Stable belt (old Style) and clippy cloppy shoes.

I wear a regiment stylee beret and my SD hat is also in the regiment styleee. I like to model myself on the SWO at every opportunity.
I can often be found outside Ops Wg 'advising' aircrew to pay a visit to the barbers as they are setting a bad example for the lads.

We'll see how much you love blues this week. I give it 2 hours tops before you will be pining for your deserts. At least if you keep wearing your clippyclop shoes we can hear you coming and may have time to stock up the choccy machine. Awaiting incoming!!!!:pDT_Xtremez_28: :pDT_Xtremez_28:

I have also acquired a pace stick and intend on holding drill practise in the corridor for all those slovenly airmen and officers I find.

Here's something along the lines of what you lot are in for....

I work in KD but it doesn't really matter what uniform I'm in, I'm still a miserable sod blue, green or KD.

I wear blues and "work" at an army base, theres a little enclave of us RAFies (Gods trade - Armourers) and every now and again the question of "blues or greens" comes along, and apart from one moaner (whos posted anyways) we all agree that even though wearing greens may be more comfortable (or practical) we feel that we should to keep our identity (and p1$$ the pongos off). RAH RAH RAF and all that.

What about the option of Desert DPM? I spend the majority of my time in that and although its comfy I feel that our blues are the only identifying thing left of our once formidable Air Force. If jointery has its way you will be wearing greens as from 2018 onwards anyway as well as a nice new cap badge and nice light blue beret.

I know going on strike isn't part of our culture but if they ever try to lighten the beret then we will no longer be Royal either.

PVR's anybody?
