The Canadian wife of a British Army Cpl is facing deportation, while their sons might have to go into care if their dad is sent on Ops.
This country REALLY fcuks me off, this woman, whose husband and forefathers who are serving and have served in the UK's Armed Forces, is being sent home because of somebody cocking up on her visa advice, meanwhile this country lets all sorts of sh!te in!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ******

The Home Office also sent a statement, which read: "Overseas nationals wishing to come to the UK on the basis of marriage should apply for entry clearance from abroad.

'Rules are rules'

Give me F*&kin` Strength!!!
I`m off to look at something soothing.

I read it in a paper yesterday.

Blo0dy disgusting the way parts of the government treat people. ::/: FFS, her hubby is doing his bit for Queen & Country, :pDT_Xtremez_28: yet the ar#eholes he's defending treat his family like that. :pDT_Xtremez_32: If she were an illegal immigrant she'd have no problem, be given a house and benefits, but because she was advised wrongly and wanted to do it properly it makes her an easy target for the bureaucrats - no work involved in finding her. :pDT_Xtremez_42: "Rules are rules" my ar#e. Rules are for the guidance of the wise and the obeyance of fools. This is one circumstance when common sense (something lacking in the Home Office or MoD it seems) needs to be applied.

Another crack in the Military Covenant appears. It won't be too long under this Government before there's not enough glue to repair it.

So the immigration laws are only applied to foreign nationals from FRIENDLY countries are they ? If she were Iraqi or Iranian they would let her stay. If she was from a war torn African nation they would let her stay. But they will kick her out because she is from a country that is a part of the BLOODY COMMONWEALTH. :pDT_Xtremez_17:
Honest to God, this country has been ruined. ::(:

Petty Home Office bureaucracy. Just another example of how out of touch the leeches that govern us have lost touch with just about everything. They are nothing but a bunch of overgrown school bullies who will always pick on the easiest target. ::/:

Just a thought but why cant the Army post him back to Canada while she gets her paperwork sorted?

I know its not the point but surely they wouldnt object to a bit more LOA (or whatever we call it now)

God give me strength. This country has gone down the pan big style. The number of times I say to myself "Stop the world I want to get off" is increasing every day. It's a slap in the face for a nation that has loyally supported this country through very troubled times.

I really not sure what they are playing at reading the article. I reckon that the family might have actually brought this upon themselves.

I know from my own experience that it is quite straight forward - My wife (a US citizen) came to Cyprus after we got married. When our time was up and we came back to the UK, we got a stamp at the Emabassy in Nicosia, then she applied for "Indefinate Leave to Stay" and within 3 months she had a nice sticker in her American passport which allows her to stay here as long as she wants.

From reading that article, they have gone about it arse about face I think...

He`s British Forces, the kids are british citizens, their mum is part of the commonwealth ergo has the same Queen. So whats the problem ... Oh I get it, she didn`t follow the correct proceedures ... towit hop on a train at San Gat and hide in the country for 3 years then seek asylum ... ::/:

On a lighter serious note ... If I transfer to the Army can I get Mrs JAFAD666 deported ... Hey it`s worth a punt ... :pDT_Xtremez_28:
