Wot do yous drive?

  • Following weeks of work, the E-GOAT team are delighted to present to you a new look to the forums with plenty of new features. Take a look around and see what you think!
a great little V reg Ford Ka 1.3 (nicknamed Fang because it is highly inappropriate and because of the licence plate). Does 0-60 in about a week but is quite happy to tick along at 70 (+a bit) on the motorway. Though some utter f***wit managed to nearly rip the left wing mirror off in Tescos car park yesterday and didn't even have the common decency to apologise, ranking them alongside middle lane hogs and fog-light criminals in my book.

Looking to get something new next year, so I need a good sounding board - What car can I get (as a girl) and obtain a certain amount of respect from male road users? No MX5/TT/MR2/Beetle or other such hairdressing paraphernalia need apply - I was thinking more along the lines of Audi S3 or some such.

Ideas?

A3's are awsome, i had one before my saxo, i can vouche for there safty having rolled it 3 times after hitting a big massive rabbit, why i chose to swirve is beyond me..... still hit it and the ditch it ran from, i had the 130 TDI, S3's are stuff of legend.... Any type of German TDI 110+ Bhps will be relyable safe and great fun to drive, my dad had a Seat Leon FR TDI again really awsome car.... my advice anything german VW based you will love.....:PDT_Xtremez_19:

Get yourself an Aston Martin. Thing is girls shouldn't drive Astons, they should make themselves look pretty and cover the seats.

Stand by for incoming
Mr Clarkson actually gave the MX-5 a good review the last time he drove one. So did Tiff !

What he ^^^^^^^ said about VW TDi's

05 plate Astra Sport Hatch in black 1.8SRI.
Used to own a ZZR1100 many moons ago which isn't really a girlie bike, but I loved her :PDT_Xtremez_28:

94 plate Mitsi Shogun LWB for getting the clan moved and the buggy and kites down the beach.

and a 94 plate Fiat Uno start, because I can.

02 Omega CD 2.2. Drives ace, recently did Lossie to Lincoln in 6hrs 40 mins (range considerably lessened on that run)!:PDT_Xtremez_28:

Just picked this beauty up. Only took two months to talk Mrs P out of the Hilux, well that and 20k off the asking price for this one.

A 54 plate Toyota Corolla T3 1.6. Brilliant car, love it to bits, has never put a foot wrong. Guzzles a bit for a 1.6 though..............:PDT_Xtremez_41:

I suppose beauty is in the eye of the beholder Plumber... :PDT_Xtremez_34:

then again, 20k is 20k. Whatever floats your boat... (or in your case, tows it!)

07 Corsa 1.3 Cdti 90, keeps up with the audis bmws mercs etc on the motorways, does leeds to london on under half a tank, is fun to drive but requires balls at times due to the heavy body roll and oversteer, but is an absolute pig to see out of! the 6th gear is great though, pushes it at speed and will do over 80mph under 2500 revs. wouldn't recommend one though unless it was as i use it for long distance comuting and pottering around from a to b

Getting rid of the Focus and have ordered a S-Max 1.8TDCi 6 speed. Should be ideal for tootling around the motorways of Europe and will be big enough for my growing kids. Drove one on a test drive and was quite impressed.

My wife around the bend.
No got a tacuma piece a crap just ordered new mondeo tdi. Not the best o cars but cheap enough and practical

98 Series 1 Discovery TDi - Always wanted a Disco and does a bit more off road than my Freelander (or Toylander) used to. Bit better on the fuel but with an 88 litre tank it still costs a small mortgage to fill it up!

Seeing as my big adorable car, Rover 820 exec 2L auto with buttons that went beep and in car phone and cd changer and built in sat nav, got trashed by a fecking drunk retardard mong who kisses big monkey balls, I now have an old vectra :PDT_Xtremez_37:

VW Passat. TDI 130 (Or 110 if that blody DVLA website is to be believed)
She beautiful !!! :PDT_Xtremez_28:

Several steeds await my loins (so to speak).

:PDT_Xtremez_43:2003 Mitsubishi L200 Warrior with a hard top fitted to the rear, go faster blue light rack on the roof and blues in the grill, no weewaas though, use it for SAR Dog work.

A 2000 Audi A4 estate which is suprisingly comfortable and for playing around my boys toy is a Honda XL1000V2 Varadero

2.9i Cosworth Scorpio Estate

Nothing better than leaving some little scrote in his souped up Saxo at the lights when ive got the whole clan (and the dog) in my 'family' car!

On the down side, its bloody thirsty.....thanks HTD!!:PDT_Xtremez_19:

'03, Vauxhall Astra 1.7CDTI.
