A friend is visiting the UK at the end of October and is hoping to take a week off after work to see some more of the country.

They have already been to Brighton, Oxford and London a few times.

Where else would you recommend they go, they will be based in the SW during this time.

Many thanks.

The Cotswolds are close to the SW region, starting off in the area of Cirencester in the south and heading north from Gloucester/Cheltenham towards Warwick. Beautiful scenery, chocolate box villages and towns, along with some of England's best pubs and restaurants. Sure, it can be a little pricey and the area is very exclusive but it's one of my favourite places in England.

Wye valley area. under-rated and beautiful covering wales and england, and close to all the best bits of both.

Cornwall. Get them to start at Charlestown and head West stopping in the many and various fishing villages until they reach St Mawes and see if they want to go home ever again...
